We are looking for a Design Director who is conceptually strong, and can translate and communicate conceptual ideas into design for different stakeholders. You are a natural team leader that can supervise the entire design process of a project with our designers but also enjoy being hands on with developing work yourself. You feel comfortable presenting and having strategic conversations with our clients. You understand the dynamics of global brands and have a personal interest in the Tech industry. You will be working closely together with our creative director, strategic consultants, brand designers, industrial designers, and visualizers.  

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Champion the link between brand strategy and design to ensure work that is strategically based and creatively resonant. 
  • Lead design direction within project teams, including freelancers and creative partners 
  • Work across the full spectrum of visual identity – from branding and visuals (including art-directing motion & animation) to conceptual packaging and environment. 
  • Present work confidently both externally to clients as well as internally 
  • Have experience in translating creative strategy & storytelling into 360° brand worlds. 
  • Ability to manage and oversee multiple projects simultaneously. 
  • Be able to create work across the full spectrum of visual identity – from branding and visuals (including art-directing motion & animation) to conceptual packaging and environment. Please note that this is a hands-on role that also requires you to work alongside the team in design execution. 

 

  • 10+ years of experience with at least 2 years as a design director, working across a variety of categories. Experience working on global technology brands a plus. 
  • Understanding of the value of design for business and brand equity 
  • Experience in directing motion and animation 
  • A pragmatic, self-confident person that wants to get things done. 
  • Curious, flexible, proactive, and resourceful. 
  • Fluent in written and spoken English, preferably at first language level 
  • Thrive for the best and understand that “the best” is done together. 
  • Always work towards an outcome rather than an output.
