Smart packaging strategy

Digital Diagnostics AG

Qindle collaborated with health-tech startup Digid on a user-friendly, future-proof packaging system for their antigen testing solution.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, widespread testing quickly became a critical part of the global re-opening strategy. German startup Digid developed one of the first digital, antigen rapid tests for professional use. These pocket-sized labs can be used anywhere by general practitioners, paramedics and nursing staff, with digital results available immediately.

Qindle developed a smart packaging strategy for Digid’s Cantisense™ SARS-CoV-2 solution. The packaging enhances users’ experience of COVID testing, building better adoption and health outcomes. The packaging system was also strategically future-proofed to accommodate new screening solutions that Digid plans to launch, based on the same biosensor technology.

Keeping users at the core of design

Qindle and Digid carefully analyzed the user flows of health professionals, to ensure functional packaging that supports them in their daily operations. The unpacking experience and accompanying communications were laser-focused on both user needs, along with building Digid’s brand presence in a rapidly expanding market.

Realizing the future of COVID testing

Qindle supported Digid in the end-to-end journey from strategy and design, to engineering and prototyping. The final product of our collaboration was a working prototype of the packaging pilot test – making quicker and easier COVID screening real.
